Dear Guests,

Welcome to Casa Maria Luigia.
It took us many years to find this special place and we have filled it with our favorite things: a selection from our contemporary art collection, books and vinyl records, and a pantry full of iconic Emilian ingredients, such as Parmigiano Reggiano, Aceto Balsamico and Lambrusco.

We invite you to explore the manicured grounds, swim in the pool, gaze at the 200-year old oak trees, and witness the changing of the seasons from the vegetable garden.

We look forward to welcoming you to our home away from home in the Emilian countryside!

Casa Maria Luigia is an intimate Country House surrounded by the agricultural landscape of the Emilian countryside. Massimo Bottura and Lara Gilmore, partners in life and business, acquired the 18th-century property with the intention of extending the art of hospitality beyond the doors of Osteria Francescana, the acclaimed three-Michelin starred restaurant the couple opened in 1995 in the historic town of Modena.

The Country House features a contemporary art collection consisting of Italian and international artworks, photographs and sculptures. The interior design is a sophisticated juncture of vintage and contemporary furnishings for a unique atmosphere.

Its indoor facilities include gathering areas from a glass-enclosed portico, a main hall with painted ceiling, a cozy cocktail lounge, a vinyl record room and a family style kitchen where complimentary snacks and beverages are available during the day. The outdoor facilities include a wood-decked swimming pool, a tennis court, leisure walking areas, a wood-burning oven and vegetable garden.
A hearty Emilian breakfast will be offered in the adjacent Carriage House.

Casa Maria Luigia is delighted to help organize personalized guided tours of the area and any necessary transfers.
